Description: Praise for How to Sell at Margins Higher Than Your Competitor "This is the complete book for both new and experienced salespeople and business owners to learn and re-learn the essentials for success. How to Sell at Margins Higher Than Your Competitors emphasizes the pricing strategies and tactics to increase the market share and profits of any organization. This is a book that is as important to presidents as it is to salespeople." --Bill Scales, CEO, Scales Industrial Technologies, Inc. "As the largest service provider in our industry, we have a significant market advantage. However, we constantly walk the pricing tightrope because, as this book so clearly states, 'business is a game of margins . . . not a game of volume!'" --John K. Harris, CEO, JK Harris & Company, LLC "If you live and die on price, this book could be your only lifeline." --Tom Reilly, CSP, author of Value-Added Selling and Crush Price Objections "How to Sell at Margins Higher Than Your Competitors successfully illustrates profitable sales truths to assist us in selling for maximum return. This book's well-researched, logical, and affirming words validate the simple fact that as a premium company we deserve premium margins. So, while our competitors reduce or match prices out of fear and scarcity, our managers, thanks to this powerful sales tool, can continue quoting and closing with profitable confidence." --Joe Bracket, President, Power Equipment Company "I learned a long time ago that it is pretty difficult to control what my competitors will do, but we must control what we do--like maintaining margins. This book is a 'wow!' that will help my salesmen crack bad habits. Sales organizations should design their entire training programs around the content in this book." --George C. Giessing, President, Brusco-Rich, Inc. "This energizing book is the 'right stuff' for every sales force. It should be a required study for every executive and sales professional who seeks to be successful." --David R. Little, Chairman and CEO, DXP Enterprises, Inc.

Description: “Profitability development” could just as well be the title of this book. It takes a completely new perspective on economics, focusing on how the four foundations of profitability can be utilized to increase the profitability in a company. The primary advantage of the model introduced is its simplicity, making it easy to involve everyone in the company when using it. This is important since the author has a profound conviction, based on decades in management, that the most important factor for creating success is to involve your entire staff. To do so, you need to be able to discuss complicated economic terminology (like leverage, NPV, WACC etc.) in a simple way. The book provides that simplicity and it contains plenty of practical, real life examples of how significantly increased profitability can be achieved with simple measures. This is explained with reference to different industries where the model has been used. In today’s business with global competition, it is high time for a new profession, “profitability developers”, to replace business developers. This book offers all the tools necessary to succeed in that profession. INGEMAR FREDRIKSSON has 30+ years’ experience in top management, business development, profitability development and marketing. He has worked with plenty of SMEs in different industries and also with Fnatic, IKEA, Invest Sweden, Miss Sweden and the Swedish government. He has also been vice chairman of The Swedish Federation of Business Owners. Since a few years back, he lives and works in the UAE. All four books by Ingemar Fredriksson, in their original Swedish edition, have featured on top lists together with names like Steve Jobs, Daniel Kahneman, Thomas Piketty, Sun Tzu and even the Fifty shades-series. Search on YouTube for “Ingemar Fredriksson’s books – Bestsellers for 15 years!” for a full video of random list positions over the years.

Description: Get in the cockpit the fateful night John F. Kennedy, Jr. crashed his plane off Martha’s Vineyard, and take a journey through celebrity, tragedy, murder, and the lives of people on the other side of Camelot. Author Robert Chartuk was there when John John’s plane was lifted out of the Atlantic and had a wheelhouse view of the TWA Flight 800 disaster as it unfolded near his hometown on Eastern Long Island. Take a front-row seat for this heartbreaking and humorous account of his small-town life in the shadow of the Kennedys, including the infamous murder of New York financier Ted Ammon—stories that tell of the profound consequences of the choices people make. From “Deadman’s Curve” and “The Mother of All Snowstorms” to the joys of flight and the characters that make up our rich political history—and the accusation that the author himself helped bring about Kennedy’s death—these are stories that just had to be put down on paper.

Description: If you're interested in real estate investing, you may have noticed the lack of coverage it gets in mainstream financial media, while stocks, bonds, and mutual funds are consistently touted as the safest and most profitable ways to invest. According to real estate guru Ken McElroy, that's because financial publications, tv and radio programs make the bulk of their money from advertising paid for by the very companies who provide such mainstream financial services. Description: In this deposition skills file, Alice Rowe has brought an action under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the Nita Fair Employment Act (which is identical to the California Fair Employment & Housing Act) for sexual harassment and wrongful discharge against her employer, Pacific Quad, Inc. She asserts that her supervisor, operations manager Stanley Schmit, continually leered at her, made offensive sexually suggestive comments to her, brushed by her in order to sexually touch her, and, finally, propositioned her during the two weeks she worked for Pacific Quad. She further alleges that the president of Pacific Quad, John Walsh, was informed of the harassment and ratified it. Rowe claims lost wages, medical expenses (psychotherapy), general damages for emotional distress, and punitive damages. Witnesses may be deposed on the issue of liability only or liability and damages. There are three witnesses for the plaintiff and three for the defendant. The plaintiff and defendant versions are self-contained and can be used independently of each other to teach deposition skills. This is the trial version of Rowe v. Pacific Quad, Inc.. The deposition and trial files are fully integrated, so that students may use the deposition materials to study deposition practice, using the NITA method, and then go on to study trial practice using the trial materials.

Description: This is the autobiography of Michael D. Virkaitis’s (“Mike Vee”) life up to now. It was fun for him to tell friends and family some of the experiences that happened to him that were usually amusing and other times sad. He could talk about his experiences for hours upon hours. His listeners kept saying to him, “You should write a book.” After thinking about it for years, he said, “Awh, what the hell, I’ll do it.” It’s been well over seven years now since he started writing, and it certainly was not easy; however, recalling some of the good times made it well worthwhile. He got the name In the Blink of an Eye because in recent years, time has raced past him and has been nothing but a blur. So much has happened, but for some reason, most of these last twenty or so years have not been computed and stored within him. It surely was a blur. Why did it pass so fast? What did he miss? He really wishes there were do-overs. Mike was a successful high-ticket-item technical salesman. He had triedand-true methods. In this book, he reveals some of the strategies that made him successful and trusted. His name and reputation is still highly respected in the industry he worked in. Mike’s methods of attaining success could be a guide for those of you beginning your climb up the ladder and memories to those of you who passed this way. Mike’s philosophy was focus on what’s ahead and where you are going. The past is something you cannot change. Live with it. It surely is part of the building blocks that will help you succeed. Always remember his favorite proverb: “You are not judged by how many times you fell, you are remembered by how many times you got back up.”
